It is off-top, sorry, but your take (in J. Cole blog)on USA corporations being "persons" (and mentioning USSR and Communist party) made me want to replay. NO, USA being "empire"(actully, it is called "imperialist" but never mind) has NOTHING to do with corporate power over USA politics. As long as there is capitalism, it brings corporations, and then they are powerfull, because this is a logic of capitalism, pure and simple. So, I guess, if you REALLY want corporations being a real force in USA "democracy" you should ask for the end of capitalism itself, and, somehow, I could not see you doing it :)
